Welcome to this presentation on the Gemstones of the Breastplate! We will talk a little about the Breastplate, and a little about the 12 Tribes, and then quite a bit about the Gemstones traditionally associated with the Breastplate. There are many gemstones discussed, and not all authorities agree on which stone goes with which Tribe. Hopefully, we can bring some clarity to some of the issues, and you may want to pursue further research on your own.

The Breastpiece of Decision-Making is described in great detail in Exodus: who wears it, when and why it is worn, and how it should be made. It is part of an entire outfit that includes "a breastpiece, an ephod, a robe, a woven tunic, a turban and a sash."
